One of the goals of Southern Peach T’s Chapter is to provide value to the Model T community by offering venues to bring ‘like-minded hobbyists’ together and share valuable information to benefit our members. The latest of these valuable sessions can be viewed by selecting the title graphic below.
Identifying and Restoring Model T Speedometers
Guest Speaker – Russ Furstnow
Bio November Guest Speaker – Russ is a retired educator, and served as a middle school and high school principal and teacher. I served in the Army National Guard for 26 years, retiring as a Colonel (O-6). I have been involved in the Model T hobby for the last 62 years and have restored over 20 Model T’s. I have been involved in the leadership of both the MTFCA and the MTFCI, serving as the President of each organization. I have written two books on antique speedometers along with several articles for the “Vintage Ford” and the “Model T Times”. I have numerous Model T’s and love to drive my cars on tours with our local club, the Canyon Country Model T Club. In 2008, my wife Kathy, and I drove our Model T from Flagstaff, AZ to Centerville, IN for the Centennial Celebration. Restoring, driving and enjoying the Model T is extremely rewarding for me and my family. Each member of my family has a Model T. Hopefully, the hobby will continue to endure and grow.
